The Evans

Over this past weekend we spent a lot of family time in Arizona. While there, we attended our cousin Rebecca and Eric Evans wedding. All together it was such a beautiful wedding. It took place at Schnefs Farm in their barn. Great spot for anyone looking to have a country wedding. My favorite part of the ceremony was watching their one year old daughter Ava cruise up and down the aisle in her pink convertible.I loved all the decorations that she put together herself. She painted beautiful canvases for signs and pulled together old bowls and plates into stands and platters for sweet treats; Mrs.Rebecca Evans it was genius if you ask me. It was also little mamas first time attending a wedding. Aria had so much to look at and if anyone knows my daughter, they know she is extremely observant. This first picture is more reality of what went down with her. But I didn’t expect anything less from a 6 month old baby who wants to scream and play. Aria was definitely loving all the family attention while she was there. She and I seemed to have only skimmed the rim of my husbands family side. She was getting passed around with hugs and kisses and was even brought to the dance floor to get down with her cousin Marsi Beltran. And what’s a wedding without your photo booth fun? Between the wonderful ceremony to the crazy dancing from all the beer and wine, it was an overall great time! Experiencing my third wedding, it has me thinking of great ideas I have planned for my own wedding. Which everyone will have to stay tooned for those details.

Thank you Becca and Eric for the wedding fun. My family and I had a great time!

Xoxo, Kels.

Grandparents Day

Aria has so many amazing grandparents! Every year my sister has always celebrated Grandparents day which is the second Sunday in September. I personally think it’s a great holiday along side Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Aria has so much love for her great-pop, ‘ol pawpaw, papa, grandpa, abuelo, great-grandma, and grandmas. I love that she has so many grandparents because growing up, that is something I never really had.

My abuelita passed away when I was young and I have a vage memory of her. All my other grandparents were never in the picture. My moms father came around when I was 17 and within 5 months he passed away. So my luck with grandparents was never good. Therefore I’m very thankful our children will be blessed with many grandparents. All the more reason to celebrate!

Lots of love and kisses to each and everyone of them!

Xoxo, Aria!

6 Months Old

Today my sweet baby girl turned 6 months old. Where has time gone? Why is it flying by so quickly? From the minute I seen her on my first ultrasound I fell in love. Our mommy && daughter bond is inseparable.

Aria rolls over like a total crazy person now and she is starting to pull herself. I figure she will be crawling within the next few weeks which means no stopping her! She sits up like a champ too. She still loves bath time, well pretty much any water time. She is a Cali baby for sure.

Aria loves all things food, from formula to baby food. So far she has tried: sweet potato, peas, green beans, carrots, avocados, bananas, mixed berries, and mango. She likes most her veggies cold and her fruits at room temp but she wasn’t a fan of mango. She also loves drinking water! So far she gets 4oz of water a day and if mommy is drinking water from a cup or water bottle, she gets a sip and drinks from them a little to well. We have also started her on her first sippy cup in which she only drinks water from. She hasn’t quite got the hang of it but she’s learning.

She’s always smiling and laughing. Aria brings joy to everyone around her. Mommy and daddy go back and forward because she says DaDa all the time now but she also says mom; daddy doesn’t think so.

Aria is definitely teething but not to bad right now. She puts anything and everything into her mouth. She also loves her binky too!

Never have I known I could love someone like I love our daughter. Daddy loves you unconditionally little mamas and so does mommy!💗

Home Stretch

Being a military wife is not easy. My husband is a Navy Sailor on the USS Carl Vinson. From the beginning of this year they have gone underway for sea trials in preparation for their upcoming deployment. They have been gone for what seems like forever but in reality only five weeks.

The excitement every time he comes home after being gone for a long time is unreal. It’s like a little kid getting butterflies over their crush for the first time.

In times, it’s very hard because I feel lonely and missing him becomes unbarable. Finding things to occupy my mind is the key. During this underway my daughter and I spent it with family in Arizona and Colorado. Each day was something different and we were always doing something. It helped a lot that I heard from my husband almost everyday, even if it was just one email. Just the thought that he was thinking about our daughter and I made my heart happy.

I decided to make him ceviche for when he gets home since I know how much he likes shrimp. The house is cleaned, baby is asleep and now we wait. Let’s hope I can get some sleep and the excitement doesn’t keep me awake! I can’t wait to see my sailor!❤️⚓️

Five Months Old

Crazy how fast time can fly! My baby girl turns 5 months old today. In one month it amazes me how much she has changed. We switch to straight formula, (sad mommy) she learned how to roll over, she knows how to sit up, and we started introducing her to solids.

Her personality has changed a lot too. A month ago we would put toys in front of her and she would just stair at them. Now she’s all over them! Am I the only one who has a baby who wants everything in their mouth? Anything she gets her hands on it goes straight to the mouth.

Becoming a mother has changed me so much from who I am and how I do things. I won’t never change a thing. Watching my daughter grow and seeing her laugh and smile are priceless moments. The goods and the bads are a part of life that I look forward to everyday.

Mommy and Daddy love you more than you will ever know baby girl❤️

San Diego Zoo

Yesterday I took my almost 5 month old daughter to the San Diego zoo with my friend, who also happens to be a military wife, Myriam and her daughter Tasha (Natalia). I was very curious on how my daughter would react to everything because she has always been a big observer. The weather could not have been more perfect, high 70s and cloudy with a slight breeze.

Aria loved strolling around the zoo and people watching. Many of the animals were far away, so they didn’t catch her attention as much. I took her in and out of her stroller multiple times so she can get a better look at the animals.

These bears were ones that caught her eyes as I took her out of the stroller. Her reaction was funny, she gave me that “what the heck are those mommy” look as she looked at me and looked at them.

The giraffes were super close! There was one eating food right next to us. It startled Aria, the giraffe had got scared from another group of people and ran across the exibit. Aria watched him run and walk back to his food the whole time. I was actually a little surprised with how well she kept her eyes on him as he moved around. I would say these were Aria’s favorite animals to look at. She didn’t want to stop looking at them!

Anyone else love the orangutans? They are always so funny! I’m pretty sure Aria thought they were probably the weirdest of them all. She was starring at them, especially this one because he kept walking back and forth in front of her. A few minutes after this picture, another orangutan was rolling all the way across the exibit. We thought it was hilarious!

San Diego zoos centennial year. At 8:30pm they put on a little parade. Aria loved it! So much music and animals to look at. Her reaction was priceless. They had people in monkey outfits that kept waving at us and dancing giraffes too. It was really cool.

Our first trip to the zoo was definitely a success. My baby girl loved the zoo as I was hoping she would! I’ve only been to a few different zoos and the San Diego zoo is so far my favorite!   🐯🦁🐼🐨

I can’t wait to take her again when she is older so we can see her reaction once she knows more of what’s going on.
